এবং অমরত্বকে বইবার তরে

We slowly drove - He knew no haste

And I had put away

My labor and my leisure too,

For His Civility –

আমরা ধীরে চ’লেছি— সে দ্রুততা জানে না
এবং আমি ফেলে এসেছি পিছনে—
আমার শ্রম ও বিশ্রাম যত,
তারই সভ্যতা অনুকরণে—

We passed the School, where Children strove

At Recess - in the Ring –

We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain –

We passed the Setting Sun -

শিশুতা পেরিয়েছি আমরা, যেখানে
খেলা করে শিশুরা অবকাশে—
আমরা পেরিয়েছি ফসলের মাঠ—
পেরিয়েছি অস্তগামী সূর্যকে—
