Newspaper is a paper that carries news to us. We can not think of modern life without the newspaper. The newspaper was first published in china. In Bengali the first newspaper was the”Samacher Darpan.”

There are many kinds of newspaper. They are the dailies, weeklis, monthlies and quarterlies. The daily newspapers contain news and views about the daily affairs. Other papers publish news, stories, poems, essays etc.

A newspaper is very helpful to us. It is the people`s parliament. It is called the mirror of the world. It brings news of home and abroad. The economic situation of a country is described in it. It . It also bring news of trade and Commerce, games and sports. It is the store-house of knowledge. It also helps the growth of public opinion. It gives us the current news of the world. It also publishes the news of local problems and draws the attention of the concerned authority. It makes the citizens aware of there duties and responsibilities. So a newspaper is important for all sections of people.

It has some demerits. Sometimes it publishes false or partisan news and views. It creates misunderstanding among the people. We showed avoid it.

We showed read newspapers both for news and pleasure. Newspaper should publish correct and impartial news.
