S.S.C and H.S.C Completing Story THE CATS AND THE MONKEY

THE CATS AND THE MONKEY
One day two cats stole a piece of bread. They failed to divide it in equal parts as both of them wanted the larger part. They fought for that. Lastly, they agreed to put up their problem to the monkey. All the animals of the forest knew him as the wiser animal. They went to the monkey and asked him to divide the bread into two equal parts. The monkey was very clever. He brought a weighing balance. Then he tore the bread into two pieces. He put the piece of bread on the two scales. But one piece was heavier than the other. Then the monkey took a bite from the bigger one to reduce its weight. He intentionally took a bigger bite. As a result the piece which was lighten before, became heavier now. In this way the monkey went on eating taking bites from this one and from the other. At last there remained only one small piece of bread. The cats realized their folly. They said, “hold on, please, divide these piece equally and we shall be glad” The monkey said, “That can not be. I must have my share as a judge.” Then the monkey put the piece of bread into his mouth and went away joyfully.
From the above story we can say that something is better than nothing.
Moral: Something is better than nothing.
