King Soloman and Queen of Sheba
King Soloman was the wisest man of all
times. He was called. ‘Soloman, the wise’. One of his
contemporaries(Kb‡Ugcivwim-mg eqm‡Kv
†jvK) was the Queen of Sheba. She heard Soloman’s name many times for his
outstanding(AvDU÷vÛBs)
knowledge. She
was very inquisitive(BbKzBwRwUf) to test his wit. One day,
the queen invited the king to her palace. Solomon accepted her
invitation. The
king came to her palace in due time. The queen welcomed him majestically(g¨v‡RmwUK¨vwj-ivRKxqfv‡e) . The queen kept two bouquets on a table. One natural and the other was
artificial. But the garlands(Mvij¨vÛm-gvjv¸‡jv) looked quite alike. The king realized(wiqvjvBRW-eyS‡Z cviv) that the queen might test his wit. Then he heard some
-bees humming () outside the
room He then opened the-windows(DBb‡WvR-Rvbvjv) of the room.
The bees came to the room through the windows and sat on the garland (gvjv) of
real flowers. The Queen of Sheba was charmed(PvigW-gy» nIqv) by his wisdom.
