S.S.C and H.S.C Completing Story NOBODY BELIEVES A LIAR
NOBODY BELIEVES A LIAR
There was a cowboy in a village. He
used to tend cows in a nearby field beside the forest. The cowboy was a great
liar. He enjoyed himself making fun with people. He would often cry out, wolf,
wolf! Help me! Help me! At first the
people believed him. When they heard him shouting, they would come with sticks to
help him. But they found no wolf. When the farmers could find no wolf, the boy
laughed and made fun with them.
The boy befooled them on several
occasions. One day a wolf really came. The boy now shouted at the top of his
voice, wolf! Wolf! Help! Help! But this time there was no response. The farmers
were working in a nearby field. They thought that he was making fun as usual
with them. So they did not come to help him. The time the wolf found the cowboy
alone and killed him. The liar cowboy was thus punished for this falsehood.
From the above story we can say that manners make the man.
